These windows have a .2 SHGC (solar heat gain co-efficient) the ability to block solar heat rays. A typical home has window with a .9SHGC. Our windows reduce energy loss by as much as 30% – 50% over regular windows, keeping the home cooler in the summer and warmer in the window. All Meritage High Performance Homes have a high efficient air management system exceeding new ANSI 62.2 home ventilation requirements. The high efficient air management system will include jump ducts. These will allow the transfer of air from one room to the next equalizing air pressure which will eliminate doors slamming or ugly marks on the carpet under the doors.
