Dear Customers, Trade Partners and Stakeholders,
 
At Meritage Homes, safety and health has always been a top priority – in how we build our homes, how we maintain our communities, how we care for our team members and how we interact with our trade partners and customers. 
 
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety and health of Meritage employees, our homeowners, customers, and trade partners have remained a top priority and although our homebuilding business was deemed to be “essential business” or “critical infrastructure” under government orders issued to curb COVID-19, we opted over the last several weeks to conduct our sales program exclusively through virtual sales activity combined with an appointment only sales program and to suspend non-emergency warranty work.  
 
As a result of indications that the COVID-19 pandemic is subsiding, numerous States have recently issued Orders easing restrictions and allowing even non-essential businesses and retail establishments to open for business and engage with customers while adhering to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as public health agencies.  In light of these developments, and where allowed by municipal or state health orders, Meritage sales offices will reopen to prospective homebuyers on Friday, May 1, 2020.  Although customers can once again visit our sales offices and models at their leisure, they also still have the option to either schedule a virtual appointment or schedule an appointment to exclusively view models and meet with a sales associate outside normal hours of operation. 

For your safety, we frequently clean and sanitize our design centers, sales offices and model homes.  Out of an abundance of caution, we ask that anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19, been diagnosed to have COVID-19, or who has been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 defer visiting our communities in person until at least 14 days after being cleared consistent with CDC guidelines. Effective Monday, May 4, 2020, Meritage will lift the suspension of non-emergency warranty work and resume normal warranty service, where allowed based on state guidelines.  Homeowners should continue to submit warranty tickets through our warranty portal at https://meritagehomes.force.com/homebuyersportal/MyMeritage.  However, homeowners who submitted tickets for non-emergency service during the warranty suspension period will be contacted directly by their Customer Care Representative.  

Taking care of our employees is also of the utmost importance. We have provided our team members updated information on how to stay healthy and we have implemented social distancing and hygiene initiatives consistent with CDC guidelines.  Employees must stay home if they are exhibiting symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has recently been diagnosed with or exposed to the virus.  In short, we are doing everything we can to ensure your safety and the safety of our team members.
