Our Partners.

Meritage Homes partners with different programs developed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to ensure a more resource-efficient and money-saving lifestyle for our homeowners. Every home we build is engineered to be ENERGY STAR® certified and includes products throughout the home that also qualify for the WaterSense and airPLUS labels. And the best part is you don’t have to change the way you live; our homes and energy-saving products and features we include in every home do it for you.

  • ENERGY STAR

ENERGY STAR is an international standard developed by the EPA for energy-efficient consumer products that generally use 20–30% less energy than required by federal standards. New homes that meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency can qualify for ENERGY STAR certification.

As an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year in 2011, we recognize the importance of saving energy and money for our homeowners. Our homes also continue to exceed the ENERGY STAR guidelines with superior construction and by including properly installed spray-foam insulation, Low-E2 windows, tight construction and sealed ducts, energy-efficient cooling and heating systems, and ENERGY STAR-certified appliances, lighting, and water heaters.

  • Water Sense

Developed by the EPA, WaterSense is a partnership program that seeks to help consumers make smart choices about water usage and maintain high environmental standards without compromising the performance of products. Products that receive a WaterSense label are at least 20% more water efficient and perform as well as, or better than, standard models.

Every high performance, water-efficient faucet and showerhead we include in each of our homes receives the WaterSense label and exceeds industry standards for water savings, reducing water bills and cutting energy costs to heat water.

  • Indoor airPLUS

To help further improve indoor air quality in new homes, the EPA developed additional construction specifics that go beyond the ENERGY STAR certifications. A home that obtains the Indoor airPLUS label receives the careful selection and installation of moisture control systems; heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems; combustion-venting systems; radon resistant construction; and low-emitting building materials.

Every home we build is ENERGY STAR certified, and homeowners can opt to also make it an Indoor airPLUS home. With up to 30 additional home design and construction features added, an Indoor airPLUS home ensures your family the best quality air by protecting them against unwanted moisture and mold, pests, combustion gases, and other airborne pollutants.
